IMSI 2010 – 2015 Strategic Plan

Mission
IMSI’s core mission is to educate, preserve, and facilitate spiritual investigations history, methodology, and evidence and present this to the public in a positive, supportive and non-judgmental manner.  We offer a knowledgeable staff, engaging exhibits, educational classes and introductory investigations.  Through these offerings, the IMSI enhances the knowledge of the individual, the investigative skills of the community and economic vitality of our region.

The IMSI is the premier visitor-centered learning museum where our staff and volunteers work together to enhance and encourage continued spiritual research.

Goal #1

Address space limitations.

Objective#1:
Create additional space for artifacts, gift shop, educational curriculum, programs, evidence review, printing capabilities and exhibits.

Objective #2:
Create a viable and flexible display area that allows simple reconfiguration for special displays and additional evidentiary.

Introduction of paid professional staff.

Objective #3:
Creation of a fully integrated board of directors and management staff to administer and carry out the mission of the museum in a dedicated and professional manner

Upgrade exhibits to digital capacity.

Objective #4
Create a digital laboratory that serves as an archive for evidentiary submissions, both past and present.

Objective #5
Create digital, interactive and education displays within the museum to enhance the visitor’s knowledge and experience.

Provide interactive educational curriculum via a smart classroom for distributive purposes both in the classroom and through distance education.

Objective #6
Creation of live web based educational content for the purpose of conducting classroom curriculum and services for both the larger internet community as well as localized, in class programs which promote scholarly research.

Expanded training and procurement of research and development with the latest technological equipment.

Objective #7
Maintain a collection of the most up-to-date equipment for the purposes of collection of evidence, training of volunteer and education of our visitors.

Objective #8
Procure and maintain a vehicle fleet for the purpose of transportation of staff, volunteers and guests to and from off-site locations.
